Transmission 003 - Inner Fire

Inner fire is the fuel by which you overcome adversity.

To stoke the flame is to continuously nourish this resource through discipline and dedication to your inner vision.

Your inner light that has always seen your highest potential no matter how far you’ve strayed.

Courage seems to be an aspect of character that’s gone out of style.

But any time you display courage to yourself, no matter how small, this courage stokes the flame.

Burn bright with inner light!

For Fire the great transmuter burns away all in its vaporization.

Matter to smoke.

In the metaphysical, fire’s transmutation of density results in pure light.

Keys to avenues of connection to spirit.

Transmission 002 - Reconnect, Remember.

Reconnect, remember is a particularly resonant phrase to me. In recent years I have begun to sense a lost reservoir of knowledge lying latent within. This old connection is linked with our purpose here. It says

Remember your primal essence is of the Earth and the further you get from the land the weaker you are.

The land keeps your greed in check because you feel how you take from, and rely on the land. It asks for the will power to do what is right when what is wrong would benefit you. We must

Reconnect to our great purpose of ecosystem harmonization, and do away with our disruption of Earth’s sacred rhythms.

Technology is a great power endowed and earned through excellence. Our race has the responsibility of all earthly life and at our command we can produce an idyllic sustainable paradise. We must tame this great beast of technology and move toward a future of the divine stewardship of our magnetized space orb.

In reality we are the cognitive body of the earth itself.

Do you still hear the whispers of the Mother Earth?

If not, there is no doubt that a return to the bucolic stillness of a forest will feel like a maternal or paternal interaction. The nourishing calmness clears the fog of the mind, and connects us to our innate wisdom.

The truth is, in order to reconnect we must eliminate disturbances and free our body from the overwhelming avalanche of information we’re perceiving.

Our body is a finely tuned, immensely subtle, receiver. Built to receive the messages and stories the universe is telling itself. Allow and enforce stillness and silence. Listen for the rhythm of the world around you. Feel the fog fall off your gentle sensory perceptions. Hear the answer to your all important question.

Transmission 001 - Welcome

Photo from a time years ago in the valley behind Henry Miller library. Those transcendentalist writers are part of the thread of inspiration that has lead to the founding of this publication.

The Redwood Underground is a collaborative mixed media Initiative. Serving as a repository for cultural renewal. Including an archive of cultural richness, functioning as a traditional label representing artists, as well as publishing articles, essays, poems, and conversations. We seek to provide the narrative and growth infrastructure to amplify signals of regeneration.

A signal from the fertile soil of an ancient forest.

Even after near annihilation the Redwoods give strength to share a message of Love. A message dedicated to the harmonious future of life on earth. They are lesson of mother nature’s need for protection, and the capability of men blinded by greed and short term gratification.

Our current world is marked by fragmentation and decay, as well as unprecedented technological acceleration. However decomposition is essential to a healthy culture, psyche, and ecosystem. All systems are a microcosm of the macrocosm and only through the breakdown of the old, does the new becomes possible.

Here at the Redwood Underground we know that we hold immense potential as stewards of this world’s growth. The chance to birth new iterative systems built from the lessons of our past failures.

Honor the value of ancient practices and also acknowledge the inevitability of a technology dominated future.

In order to promote harmony we must defend our humanity and understand what is necessary for our consciousness to thrive. This requires building systems that fuse the old and the new.

Across the world, communities are building and preserving ways of living, creating, stewarding, gathering, healing, and belonging. These are our cultural bastions, fortifying the ancient pillars of community that provides cohesion for humanity.

Many are working in isolation.

The Redwood Underground exists to help them find one another.

We seek out signals of regenerative culture and amplify them. Starting in the crimson woodland of Santa Cruz we document what is emerging. We connect those carrying similar frequencies. We strengthen the roots of a culture already coming into being.

Another world is not merely possible.

Its first shoots are already breaking through the soil.

Our task is to recognize them, nourish them, and weave them together.

This is the first transmission.
